Fintrac Next Generation

Fintrac Next Generation

Fintrac has provided recurrent training to more than two million smallholder farmers in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean over the last three decades.

Our focus has been the transfer of good agricultural practices and technologies because smallholders with access to industry knowledge and resources drive economic growth in their communities. We’ve embraced a holistic approach to farming as a business, and have consistently measured our success by the increased sales and incomes of client farmers.

Currently, our teams are providing support to more than 800,000 farmers across four continents, and we will continue to do so through 2022. However:

Fintrac is announcing our intention to fully phase out operations by 2023.

We believe the next generation of small businesses, in-country implementing partners, and agribusiness entrepreneurs are best suited to providing services to client farmers and collaborating with them in tailoring local solutions to local challenges.

During this transition period, the productivity and profitability of client farmers remains our primary goal, and Fintrac staff continue to exceed current project deliverables in all countries of operation. We hope to model how an international development practitioner can gracefully exit this space, transfer management and implementation systems, and contribute in other meaningful ways to agricultural sustainability.

As we move into the future, we remain committed to sharing our tools and products so others can build, bridge, innovate, and improve on our methodologies and impact.

Follow our website and social media platforms as we promote new alliances between Fintrac staff and partners; launch a series of topical articles and a corporate case study; and add to the proprietary training materials that we have already made publicly available via Fintrac University.
