Raise Plus IQC Awarded to Fintrac Consortium
Washington DC (June 8, 2005) - Fintrac is pleased to announce that it is one of four firms selected to implement USAID's principal agriculture development indefinite quantity contract (IQC) for the next five years. The Rural and Agriculture Income with a Sustainable Environment Plus (RAISE Plus) IQC is designed to support market driven and environmentally sustainable agriculture development investments worldwide. Fintrac was selected after an intensive and extensive competitive process among a number of large-firm consortia and is the only IQC holder under what USAID calls the "full scope of work" that is led by a small business. The RAISE Plus IQC contract has an available ceiling of up to $480 million and is effective through February 28, 2010. "We are ecstatic to be recognized by USAID as a leader and innovator in the field of market-led agriculture development," said Fintrac's President Claire Starkey. "We are fortunate to have a dynamic group of partners working with us to implement this IQC." Fintrac's subcontractors on the IQC include Auburn University, the Economic Competitiveness Group, Manchester Trade, PA Government Services and the Rainforest Alliance. RAISE Plus is managed by Fintrac's Vice President Bob Rabatsky.
